To remember that we are nothing is to recognize that He is everything. This morning, I woke to learn that the lovely, joyous Elizabeth Toon, was killed in Hollywood this weekend as she crossed the street after leaving a Birthday party. I adored Elizabeth, and I can't pray enough that the pain of loss will create a precious place for grace and peace to flood in, in her honor. Pray for the boyfriend, who is expected to fully recover. And pray that you never miss an opportunity to love and be loved. The reminders pierce as they penetrate, and suddenly we find ourselves letting go of that which is precious, but not ours. May we also be faithful unto death, to one day wear a crown of life.
